Introductory Post!

Hi everyone (or mom, who may end up being my only reader...hi mom!)! My name is Amanda & in 19 days I will be boarding a train to take me to the happiest place on earth.... Disney World! I am participating in their Fall Advantage college program from May 19th- January 5th. I have been chosen for my first choice role-- concierge! I am lucky enough to be sharing this adventure with my best friend/ boyfriend Zach who will be working in the Quick Service Food & Beverage (QSFB) role.

I am keeping this blog for several purposes:
 1) To document my journey for my own enjoyment :)
 2) To get Psychology class credits (Hi Dr. Malkusz! Hey, I guess I have 2 readers!)
 3) Because to prepare for my experience I've been reading people's Disney blogs LIKE IT'S MY JOB. I've probably read every one out there. There is a limited amount of blogs from recent programs and there is less than a handful of them written by someone in the concierge role, so I want to be able to help people who will be doing this role in future programs.
4) To keep my friends & family updated on how and what I'm doing when I'm gone for 8 months.

Thanks for following me along on my journey, I can't wait to share it with you all!
